At the Sitting of the NA Standing Committee

On March 17 at the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Social Affairs moderated by Hakob Hakobyan in the first reading the draft law “On Voluntary Work” authored by the deputies Vahram Baghdasaryan, Gagik Melikyan, Ruzanna Muradyan, Karine Poghosyan was discussed.

The key speaker, the RA NA deputy Gagik Melikyan has noted that by the adoption of the draft law the relations and the legal bases connected with the voluntary work will be regulated. The key speaker has informed that by the draft law the employee will be provided a volunteer’s passport, where his/her whole working activity will be registered, and in future it will help the young person to find job. In Gagik Melikyan’s word, the voluntary work is also spread today in the European countries, particularly, in Italy, Latvia, the Czech Republic and other countries.

In the related report the RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan has informed that the voluntary work has always been one of the main elements of the civil activity.

The Minister has noted that the government is ready to jointly work with the authors of the draft law and revise it.

The draft law has been endorsed and will be included in the draft law of the agenda of the seventh session of the fifth convocation.
